About Risk and Investigative Services Qld
Risk & Investigative Services Qld was established by John Pukallus, the current Managing Director, leveraging his extensive background. John brings 20 years of experience as a Detective with the Queensland Police Service and over a decade in investigative roles within state and local governments. Moreover, he has undertaken contract investigation roles for a mining company in Africa and numerous other local clients in Australia.
Throughout his government tenure, John coordinated investigations conducted by external parties and was disheartened by the quality of service provided. Specifically, he observed that investigations were costly, often took prolonged periods to complete, and yielded reports lacking in detail and clarity. The protracted duration of investigations occasionally left complaints, witnesses, and subject officers in despair. This situation escalated the risk of subsequent claims of mental health injuries against the employer.
Some investigations incurred high costs not solely due to hourly rates but also because of inefficiencies in the methodology and processes employed. Furthermore, the resulting investigation reports were inadequate, posing a challenge for decision-makers to proceed further. Thus, John determined that establishing his own investigation business was the most effective approach to tackle these issues.
Investigative Services provided by licensed investigators
Not all investigation firms are the same. Some don’t bother to use investigators who hold the appropriate license. At Risk & Investigative Services Qld, all of our investigations are conducted by licensed investigators. Our investigators are passionate, qualified, and experienced professionals committed to making a difference. Whether conducting a full workplace investigation or a preliminary assessment, you will receive exceptional service from our investigators.
Furthermore, we utilise unique best practice techniques to help your organisation make fully informed decisions that can withstand scrutiny. You will find that Risk & Investigative Services Qld offers affordable, compliant, and robust external workplace investigations. And we specialise in investigating employee conduct, including workplace complaints about bullying, discrimination, sexual harassment, misconduct (such as timesheet fraud and theft), whistleblowing complaints, and inappropriate behaviour.
Risk & Investigative Services Qld use licensed investigators.
